Email alert for SQL queries
Email Alerts allow you to receive notifications directly in your inbox whenever your query results update or at scheduled intervals. This helps teams stay informed about important metrics without needing to log into Draxlr frequently.
How to Create an Email Alert
Follow these steps to create an email alert:

Click Create Email Alert to set up a new notification.

Enter the email addresses that should receive the alerts.

Select the Query that you want to monitor.

Provide an Alert Name and an optional Description to easily identify the email alert later.

Choose how the alert should be triggered:
- Send alert at a specific time
- Send alert at a periodic interval

If using specific time alerts, select the weekdays and time when the alert should run.

If using periodic interval alerts, select the interval frequency such as 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 hour.

Enable Send alert only on data change if you want to receive notifications only when the query result changes.

Click Create to finalize and save your email alert.

Your email alert is now active and will notify the configured recipients.
How to Use Email Alerts
Email alerts are useful for automatically sharing important data updates with your team.
You can use email alerts to:
- Send daily or weekly reports to stakeholders
- Monitor sales, revenue, or operational metrics
- Notify teams when data changes or thresholds are reached
- Share automated snapshots of dashboards or query results
- Reduce manual reporting by automating email updates
Each alert runs the selected query and sends a snapshot of the data (such as a chart, table, or computed value) directly to the specified email recipients.

- Use clear alert names so recipients understand what the alert represents.
- Add multiple email recipients to share reports with teams automatically.
- Use specific time alerts for scheduled reporting like daily summaries.
- Use periodic alerts when you want frequent updates on important metrics.
- Enable Send alert only on data change to avoid unnecessary emails.
