How to add Element to your dashboard?
Saved Query
You can easily add your saved queries to any dashboard as elements (charts, tables, or visualizations).
Here is an interactive demo of the process:
1. Open Your Dashboard
Navigate to the dashboard where you want to add a new element.
2. Click the "Add" Button
Look for the Add button at the top right corner of the dashboard page. Click Add to start adding a new Dashboard Element.
3. Choose "Saved Queries" Tab
A modal titled Add Dashboard Item will appear. It will show two tabs:
- Saved Queries
- Text
Select the Saved Queries tab (this lets you pick from the queries you’ve saved earlier).
4. Select a Saved Query
Browse through your list of saved queries and select the one you want to add to the dashboard.
You can also use the search bar to quickly find a specific query.
5. Click "Next" to Proceed
After selecting the saved query, click the Next button at the bottom of the modal
6. Customize the Dashboard Element
You will see options to:
- Name: Edit the name of the dashboard element if needed.
- Description: Optionally add a description.
- Visualization: Preview how the data will appear (table, chart, etc).
You can change the display type (e.g., bar chart, table) by clicking the appropriate icon above the preview.
You can also click Customize Graph for additional display options (if available).
7. Add the Element to Dashboard
When you’re satisfied with the settings, click the Add Dashboard Item button to save and add the element to your dashboard.
8. Element Added!
Your selected saved query will now appear as a visualization on your dashboard.
You can repeat these steps to add more elements as needed.
